It has been raining for many days and the Carmel River is rushing with water.

Carmel River - Garland ParkSome of the local roads are closed due to flooding.  While this river is moving with quick speed, I hear a lot of people saying, “Things aren’t moving fast enough in my life.” In fact, I catch myself saying this sometimes too.

When we have high expectations for ourselves and can visualize clearly the future we want, things around us can feel that they are moving slowly because the events we are creating are often still falling into place. Sometimes we can underestimate how quickly we are actually moving forward. For instance, last September I fulfilled a dream of speaking in front of an international crowd in Denver on the NDE, (near death experience, which is one of my passions.) While it seemed that things were moving slowly, in a matter of months I spoke on the subject in Saratoga, Orange County, New York, again in Saratoga (back by popular demand) and I’m off to Tucson in a few weeks. Also, the History Channel called for a television spot on the highly popular show Ancient Aliens. My friends say, “Things are moving so fast for you Jessica.”

Perception is key to looking at life. One of my passions is also this website. It has been growing by leaps and bounds, and thank you so much for your comments and support. Sometimes it feels like this has been a slow process, however the fact is we are breaking records. I am so thankful that your comments keep coming in and that you are sharing the site with friends.

So this blog is about thankfulness. I am thankful for being able to share positive ideas and get such positive responses … rapidly. My goal is to bring more inspirational leaders to the site… which is happening as I write this blog. My goal is to keep this site a powerful resource for uplifting and inspirational insights. Stay tuned, there is so much more to come.

Lesson: Not one of us knows the full impact we have on the lives of others.
